Pacific Island Cable becomes Bluesky Moana TV
Today a new face in Cable TV service in American Samoa was revealed as Bluesky unveiled the new brand and logo for Bluesky Moana TV (formerly known as Pacific Island Cable, which was acquired by Bluesky Communications in early 2009)
“Bluesky Moana TV” replaces “Pacific Island Cable” as the name and logo for Cable TV service in American Samoa. The new name and logo (Bluesky Moana TV) are a variation of, and remain consistent with the core Bluesky brand. Bluesky Chief Operations Officer, Carlos Abreu said, "We wanted a fresh name and look that signals not just a change of leadership, but symbolized a fresh start for Cable TV service in American Samoa."
The acquisition of Pacific Island Cable by Bluesky Communications in March 27th of this year is an opportunity to extend Bluesky's suite of services to the people of American Samoa. According to Bluesky Communications Chief Executive Officer, Adolfo Montenegro, "we felt it was a good fit with our existing portfolio of products and we are working on a comprehensive maintenance improvement program to take service to the next level. We will raise the bar for pay television in American Samoa and we are driving the improvements in line with Bluesky’s core values of quality and customer service.”
According to Mr. Abreu, there have already been improvements to quality of service since PIC was acquired by Bluesky due to enhancements and maintenance of the network, especially the fiber/ coaxial plant. Further, live channels have been introduced (ESPN and ESPN 2 are now both live using the latest technologies and the submarine cable). More is promised including more live channels and improved programming over the fiber optic cable.

Where To Pay Your Cable Bill
Having trouble paying your cable bill? Can't find where Pacific Island Cable has moved to now? We understand. The company has done a lot of traveling and changing over the last few months and 'we apologize for the inconvenience'. (You probably knew that was coming.) But now, we feel as a company aligned with BlueSky Communications, we're stable enough to let you know WHERE you can find us, and where we will be located from now on.
Our main location is now (and will stay) at the Laufou Shopping Center. But wait! You say that you drove by, on your lunch hour no less, and didn't see any store say the words Pacific, Island, or Cable across it's sign. Well, that's because now, Pacific Island Cable is inside the BlueSky Communications store. Just walk right in ask for the "Cable Desk" and we'll take your television questions from there.
Also, you may be saying,"I really don't like driving ALL THE WAY to Nu'uuli just to pay a Basic Service bill when I'm so busy here in Pago Pago (or Alega, or Faga'itua, or any East Side village). When is PIC going to have a store on the East, so that I don't have to waste my money on gas?"
Touche', dear consumer, but I counter with the statement:
"In consideration of our Pacifc Island Cable customers on the East, Pacific Island Cable has teamed up with BlueSky Communications to open a location now accepting cable bill payments at the BlueSky Store in the Fagatogo Square."
Also, we have been accepting cable bill payments at both Bank of Hawaii and ANZ.
Hope this has helped and we look forward to helping you with any questions that you, as a customer, may have.
